Hyper-pigmenation has always been an issue with my skin. If I have a breakout, even a small blemish, it can become a scar. Hyper-pigmentation can be created very quickly and then take what seems like forever to get rid of. The more melanin in your skin, the darker the pigmentation can appear and be very frustrating to deal with.
I’ve been getting many compliments on my skin and how clear and healthy my face has looked. You know your face looks pretty awesome without make up when people you know say something like ” Wow, your skin looks really good…..and your not wearing any make up?” LOL!
So many women and men have asked me what I use to get my skin to look so healthy and refreshed. I tell them, I use homemade all natural products I make myself.
Below is an all natural DIY face wash, toner, and moisturizer, that I’ve been using for several months with AMAZING results. My pores are small, my skin is bright and I kicked the discoloration monster right in the butt.
I want to share this DIY recipe that worked for me, with you.
Step 1
Cleanser:
Sea Salt/Yogurt Cleanser
- 2 Teaspoons of Sea Salt
- 1 Tablespoon of Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Tablespoon of Raw Honey
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Soak a cotton ball into the mixture and apply the mixture to face using upward clockwise circular motions. Remove with warm water. Repeat if necessary until face is clean.
Note: This mixture will not keep, so it should be used immediately.
Step 2
Toner:
Chamomile Lemon Facial Toner
(6oz.)1 Chamomile Tea Bag Brewed and Cooled
(2 tbsp) Lemon Juice
2 tsp Vegetable Glycerin
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together and put into a small bottle or container w/lid
Apply the toner all over your face using a cotton ball.
Great for tightening pores and evening out skin tone.
Note: Refrigerate. This toner will last up to 4 weeks.
Step 3
Moisturizer:
Jojoba/Lemongrass Moisturizer
Jojoba Oil – small amount
1 Drop of Lemongrass Essential Oil
Note: This moisturizer is great for brightening, toning, and is great for acne and normal skin.
Side Notes:
– During the summer months I would suggest substituting the Jojoba Oil with whatever moisturizer you use during the summer months. Or just replace it with your sunblock.
