Boston Red Sox Grand Slams the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 1 of the 2013 World Series

Fenway Park Entertains Game 1 of the 2013 World Series

I am a proud BOSTONIAN!

Right away the energy of my fellow Bostonian’s was through the roof at Fenway Park for the kick off of the 2013 World Series.  A brisk chilly night here in Boston, but you would never know it by the way the Red Sox are heating things up. The starting pitcher John Lester is on a mission from god. He’s focused and certainly ready to intimidate the Cardinals. Pitching for about 8 innings tonight St. Louis was shutdown from the door.

Let’s start with some mistakes that the Cardinals made throughout the night.

Mistakes Made  in the 1st Inning

St Louis Cardinals  Pete Kozma. Dropping the easy double play ball on second base allowing bases loaded.

2nd inning

The terrible communication between St. Louis’s pitcher Adam Wainwright and catcher Yadier Molina for the easy fly ball out that Drew popped up right over the pitchers mound. It seriously looked like a bloopers commercial.

Error again by Pete Kozma dropping the ball that was right in his glove again. Come on buddy

Going into the third inning, the Red Sox are on the boards with 5 runs and the Cardinals with a Goose egg. That means 0.  That’s what makes being a Red Sox fan feel as if we’re on top of the world.

Now, with the nervous feeling that you just want the Red Sox to continue playing the way they have been since the first pitch. There were a few nervous hot spots. The Red Sox goes out quick in the third inning and pitcher John Lester walks his first man.

Game 1 World Series Lester Pitches

Lester seems to be letting things slide just a bit. St Louis has bases loaded. The nerves are high but then all of a sudden what happens…. Lester catches a bounce hit, throws the guy heading home out and the catcher throws it to first getting him out and BAM Double play. St. Louis stays scoreless.

David “Big Papi” Ortiz was outstanding adding another Home run hit to his 2013 Playoff record. 2013 Boston Red Sox Game 1 Win

Game one definitely went to the Boston Red Sox. They played a tremendous game. Winning 8-1.

Let’s hold on strong and continue this effort right into Game 2. Hell the rest of this series.

Scary Movie & Home Alone Don’t Mix

I am such a horror movie lover. I know there a ton of bad horror flicks and I’ve probable seen them all.
I usually watch horror films with someone. It’s a know fact that I get freaked out watching them by myself at night. So, what did I do last night? Yes you guessed it. I watched a horror flick by myself.

Scrolling through the movies I saw they had Paranormal 3 and I didn’t see that one. I figured what the hell.
I was completely fine at first, bu all that paranormal suspense left me totally scared. So going to bed that evening was a toss and turn one.
Then, when my dog Lexi barked it freaked me out. She was barking at my neighbor coming home but I associated her barking with something paranormal like. Just me being freaked out by that movie. I’m totally fine now and thinking about it now the movie Paranormal 3 wasn’t that good and the acting was terrible.

Knowing me, at some point, I’ll probably scroll through Netflix again, find another horror flick, and scare myself to sleep.

Early Morning Workouts Make The Day

I guess the saying, “Early Bird Catches The Worm”, really does hold weight.
I never really had a specific workout schedule. I would try and make sure I get a workout in at some point in the day.
Yesterday I decided to try and get a VERY early workout in. Early as in 5:30AM. Initially, I set my alarm for 4:45 and planned on working out at 5AM but, being the snooze button queen I ended up getting there later.

After that early morning workout, my energy was high and my mind felt so positive and fresh, like I could kick the days ass. I did. I had such a great day that I am going to do my best to continue to do early morning workouts.
One of the coolest things is that some days I can get a double work out in. Playing tennis, or basketball, running with my dog, or hiking.

So here’s to the early birdies.

The Perfect Guy Exists! So Where Is He?

Where is that Perfect man hiding?

Women all over the world have asked this question at just about every girls night out.  It’s a valid question.

Now, the only true answer to that question is HOLLYWOOD movies. Hollywood gives the world that hope that the perfect guy that’s portrayed in the movies, is out there somewhere in the real world. That dreamy fairy-tale-esque guy that we compare just about every guy we go out on a date with.  No one’s perfect, and to be honest, as we age from girls to young women, from young women to mature women, and from mature women to old women our tastes in guys change.

In my opinion the perfect man is that man you met when you were young. You married that man, and have been together with him until the end of your days.  Shall I pinch you now or later. Let’s be honest, in this day and age, that type of relationship is rarer than a black president.

My best advice to finding your perfect man is:

Don’t obsess over him.

Don’t call him, let him call you.  If he’s interested he’ll call if not he won’t, then you just saved yourself a headache.

Give him some breathing room. He’s got a life too ya know.

Don’t come off as being too available. Available in the sense that you look desperate .

Finally, chill out. Let him tell you about his life and likes and so on.

Oh and the best advice I can give to you guys is think for yourself and don’t let your friends dictate your love life.

Ladies if you have the perfect guy already, or have some good ideas on how we can get that perfect guy, share some of your tips. Don’t be stingy.
